Lucas Gasperik skates at a local Santa Cruz park. 

This was my first time shooting people at a skate park, so I was a bit unsure as to the best way to work with them would be. I had just bought my off camera flash cord, so I had a lot of fun with flash placement and shutter speeds. I love using a fill light. It sounds cheesy, but when I did it the first time a few years ago, it was somewhat of a revelation. “You mean that flashes can be used during the day!? Oh my god, this looks great!” That was certainly my thought process.
