Haiku for the heat
This past week there was a record setting heat wave in Los Angeles. It topped 113 in downtown LA. Because we are all deep thinking, tortured artists at heart, the team decided to write down some Haiku to the heat.
Overall audience participation and appreciation for our heat haiku went well. You can check it out here.
My haiku:
The southland blacks out
Maybe hamster power would
be reliable
To spell it out… there were blackouts the night before because of the massive energy use across the area.
It’s interesting that people can enjoy poetry, but can’t enjoy other types of news that are certainly harder, but a bit more fluffy in nature. Maybe they object to pieces like, How Do You Watch TV, but not the haiku piece, because there is less of a difference between the former than the latter.
